It's missing the obverse! Whose packaging?

 

2X2 with 2020-W coin that is damaged on the reverse. I saw that an error dealer is looking for them.

Excuse my ignorance but it looks like someone took their bonus coin out of its original mint packaging, attacked it with a razor knife, then put it in a 2x2.

Why is it interesting? What am I missing?

Typical insider thread...2019-W in packaging becomes 2020-W in 2x2 with vague reference to other crap. Mass confusion. lol

 

Even if it were in the mint package, there is no way that could be mint related damage. It would require very extensive labor which would not happen at the mint. IMO.

I was thinking about the W nickel I got with the silver proof set that was in horrible condition when I was typing my reply. But, yeah that is a quarter.

 

I made this coin today to "spoof" a member looking for these but he didn't take the bait. I should have used an original package.
