    Several years ago I picked up a 1909-s VDB anacs graded xf45 for $710
    Been to dozens of coin shows and never saw one that cheap. They are few and far between but there are great deals on eBay.

    I buy most of my coins right now on Ebay and a few online shops. My local coin store is very small and selection is limited...shows in my area are scarce or nonexistant. I only buy from dealers on Ebay who have been around a long time or well known shops who have an Ebay account.

    I agree with the others about foreign coins, if you collect 300 year old coins from Italy and Sicily like I do. You ain't gonna find too many at your local coin shop or coin shows. American Ebay and Italian Ebay are the only places I shop for what I'm looking for. It can be a minefield if you're not careful
