I posted a similar thread (linked below) to this last year and I am interested to see how the results stack up year over year.

How many coins have you submitted for grading this year (2019)?

Last year I submitted 73 coins all to NGC. This year I have submitted 54 coins, 21 to PCGS and 33 to NGC. Here are my breakdowns.

    PCGS:
    Regular Crossover: 5
    Regular Grading: 4
    Economy Grading: 12

    NGC:
    Economy Grading: 21
    Modern Grading: 7
    Economy ReGrade: 5

The Economy ReGrade under NGC are for Full Step Jefferson Nickels in old holders that predate the 5FS designation. NGC decided to eliminate their Designation Review category for $12/coin so now I have to pay $22/coin for a full regrade. I guess if I get a "+" on one of the coins I can stop whining about.

I know that it is a little early, only August, but how many coins have you submitted or do you plan to submit this year? Please vote in the attached poll.

    Thank you!

I did not submit much this year. I submitted 7 to PCGS for crossover, 5 to NGC for reconsideration (upgrade), and 9 to ANACS for slabbing Daniel Carr tokens. Normally, I cross a lot more usually 20-25 a year. Since 99.9% of my purchases are slabbed to begin with, except for Carr issues, most of mine are generally crossovers. I use regular services almost all the time.

My primary criteria for coins is eye appeal and don't really care what evaluations others put on them. I have never in 70 plus years submitted a coin for evaluation by TPG's.

Submitted 9 Morgans with NGC at the mid Winter ANA in Atlanta.
Got them back 3 weeks later with 7 of 9 getting grades. Two others
    got details grade.

I sent 52 to NGC last year but only 9 so far this year. I have a batch that needs to go but haven't had the time.

GFY. Never felt the need to have my coins graded. I submitted 8 a couple of years ago and was disappointed with the grades.

Not the year to be submitting coins so I've done none. I've spent my time and funds on buying.

Same number as last year...same number as the year before...and the year before that...and the year before the year before the year before...you get the idea.

I have, however, UN-submitted 14 or 15 so far this year.

That is too bad. I feel bad for all those graded coins.

Is there a way to let PCGS know so they can adjust the pop? NGC pays you like 50 cents per label (in the form of a grading credit) for each one you mail back to them.

I have submitted around 14 coins all to NGC this year. About 5 where gold pandas and three large coppers and the rest from my type set. 5 am considering sending some Ike's to PCGS that NGC killed with low grades a few years back. It would have to be throw away money because the Ike market is in the toilet.

All you have to do for any of the services is just mail the labels back and they'll remove them
