Went to my local bank yesterday, and the teller who knows I go through rolls of coins all the time, informed me that someone had brought in 23 dollars worth of Ike dollar and would I like them. Of course I said yes, and after going through them believe I have found a type 3 Ike. Being new at this, I could of course be wrong.

    Thanks

That looks like a type 3 reverse to me. Is that a 1972?

Sorry, yes it is a 1972 Ike.

If memory serves, type 3 is the easiest type to come by with the 1972 Ikes. Both types 1 and 3 are pretty common. It's the type 2 you really want to keep an eye out for.
