Well it was a beautiful morning to drive from the desert to El Cajon ( about 100 miles), and the coin show was nice sized and a good assortment of coins and of course dealer's personalities!;)

Here are some photos of the show and the $1.00 dessert I really go for !
In the 3rd photo on the stage in the far background, they had the Kids section with large containers of coins for them to sort through for their albums. This is always a low stress show, although a couple of old timers have passed on.

The purchases will be in a separate thread.

That looks like a good show although a bit crowded. How many dealers were there?

I believe there were 40-50 dealers. It was crowded. I got there 20 minutes after opening and the parking lot had no spaces available, even parked on the grass. Luckily on my second pass around someone's wife took the Caddy and went towards the Mall, so I got parked. Only a couple of chairs per dealer, and squatters rights prevailed.

Haaa, yes that $1.00 dessert was the most popular booth! I had a piece of pecan pie and it was delicious, like my mother, bless her soul, use to make. Probably 1000 Calories, but sometimes one must splurge. They were all homemade! Can't wait until May show!

Looks like a nice show Jim, I see what I like to see, collectors out looking to fill holes, sitting in a chair and searching !!!

It has taken 3 days for my back to get straight again after bending over cases:mad: My biggest surprise was the crowd around the foreign paper money dealers, all day ! Not much in ancients ( besides people )

They should reserve the chairs for the old timers!:mouth:

    I have to ask

The guy with the better lamps and all the Dansco's, that "Jack's Coins" right?

Know him well. He is one of the best circ Lincoln graders there is. I love to buy/sell/trade with that guy. He has a sandwich type white sign that he stands on his table. We helped fill each others inventory at the last Tucson show.

I'll go out on a limb here.....thats why his table is full of collectors !!
