Ocean View Nickels

    Hey,
    I was looking on ebay at the Ocean View Nickels, and then at the Mint Website.
    They are not available on the Mint website, yet. Are these people pre-selling them? What's up?

    The Proof version of the Ocean View nickels was released in the Proof sets. That's why they have them to sell - they broke the coins out of the Proof sets.

    The proof version is released in the proof set..these are more than likely break outs!! All you have to do is get the proof set from the mint and bam! there ya have it...

    yea...rolls of 'S proof' nickels...

    they broke up 40 proof sets and filled a roll with the nickels

    Easy - they cherry pick the gems out of the sets and submit them for grading. Then they sell the culls.
