Here are 2 Bust halves. I haven't determined the Overton # yet. I have several of these dates, but I have a hard time resisting them. Both have very nice luster. #2 One or two more, but I will have to add later. Lots of Fun! Also, I goofed on buying a 1951 D/S overdate, when I got it under the microscope, it was just a deformed MM, but only paid a couple of bucks for it. All in All I am happy Jim
I love those, oh man do I love those. Absolutely beautiful. If you don't mind me asking were you able to get them for a "reasonable" price. I've noticed as of late these coins are creeping up, up in cost
Bqcoins, I paid $240 total for the 2 Busts Halves from 2 different dealers. The "asking" prices seemed to be higher than usual, especially on the VF range, which were selling to the "list" collectors ( those with a list needed in their hand), probably for a type collection. One thing that was very missing ( and a surprise for me) was the common whitman folders of lincolns. Usually I can buy a few of those inexpensively and they serve for a fun time like a lottery, but no stack of them... I think some dealers were well aware of those with a list....they seem more reluctant to lower their prices, probably thinking the person really needed the item.... maybe something for newbies to remember:smile Jim
Spock, The gold there was very expensive! PCGS slabbed gold ( especially the $10,$20) was about the range of their online pricing guide or higher. Saw one dealer count out 20 of the 1 oz gold eagles to a charming older ( 80+) who didn't trust her bank any more Most of the gold buyers were looking for safety, not collecting. But there was some foreign gold ( plenty of Mexico ), but also some European, etc. , but I am at a disadvantage with gold and/or foreign and I know it Jim
Ruben, me? Wouldn't take a "Do-Over" on my life ! It could be better, but it could be a H**L of a lot worse. Hey Ruben , of which plastic are RX bottles made? Acetone doesn't seem to affect them ( the orange colored ones) Jim.
