Found a 2020 P nickle with what seems to be extreme die polishing and some die chips. Let me know what you think

Maybe that is feeder finger damage on the die.

If you look closely its only on the lower portions between the top of the door. If it was a finger feeder wouldn't it be on the raised portions as well?

Wow. I agree with feeder finger damage for the lines on the coin. I would keep it as I have never seen feeder finger damage that severe on a nickel. As for the die chips, I am not entirely sure where you see them. Would you mind pointing out where you think they are?

I think i was wrong on the die chipes, but i currently have two that are that bad and 5 more that arent that bad, but still show it out of one roll. What do you think something like that is worth. I searched ebay but come up with nada

Welcome to Coin Talk. When posting photos it's always best to include a pic of the entire coin along with closeups of the error in question. This makes it a little easier for us to determine what you have. :)

It's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If you are just looking to flip them for a profit, nobody can say if you will get lucky of not.

Are you searching for mint errors to enjoy the hobby or to make a profit? o_O
Many issues you will find in circulation have very little or no premium at all..
Unfortunately.. Many listings you will see on ebay and Etsy are ridiculous and are not accurate.

...above the door and left of the rotunda. Would a feeder finger account for both of those areas?

...imo...those are die polishing marks: both areas are high surfaces on the face of the die...Spark

Feeder finger, Die polish lines or any other type of this is basically only worth a hair over face and only to a collector of sorts. This hobby is fun but it does not pay for itself. Welcome to CT.

Welcome to CT @roquiro18. It is best to only post your coins ONCE with questions. Posting the same coin multiple times only wastes members time. Is English your second language? Just asking as you misspell a lot of words.
    Also, photos:
You should always post FULL IMAGE photos (after you upload your photo, two buttons appear: Thumbnail and Full Image, click Full Image and your photo appears full size on your post and is easily enlarged by clicking on it. Always show both the obverse and reverse, even if your question is just about one side. Members can often give more valuable information having both sides to evaluate. Crop out superfluous background so just the coin shows, and post photos with correct orientation so members don't have to turn their computer in some awkward fashion to view it properly. Add close ups of areas you have questions about and make your questions as definitive as possible so we know what you are asking for. And try to have the best lighting possible to show the most favorable photo of the coin. Hope this helps in the future. Good luck.

PaddyMan and MM said it best you would be wise to read thoroughly and understand what is being said. Much luck and be safe

I am not sure what the value of something like this is. It is a cool find, in my opinion.
Does it matter? Everything is still legible. Sure, it's spelled nickel not "nickle," but I would just say that instead of speculating.

Honest question in my opinion. It makes a difference if they are not in the USA.

Yes, it is possible! You will note that both anomalies are angled in the same direction. The feeder finger, itself, is not flexible, so it would actually span the entire recess that forms the building. The image below is merely intended to show you what the feeder finger looks like. (It is not mine.)

I did not realise i mispelled nickel in my post, as for that there were no other misspellings in my post. So i do not know what you mean by "multiple misspellings". And yes im in the US. As for me only posting my coins once, i have only ever posted one thread per coin, as i think is appropriate, if in wrong then please let me know. I didnt know about the thumbnail and full image thing thanks for telling me. I also was not aware of the obverse and reverse of the coin rule either. I will not be posting anymore for awhile probably till i get better equipment. My current equipment will not allow me to get a fullsize shot of the coin. The one in this post is the best i could do. Have a wonderful day
