I got a bunch of rolled coins that were basically all damaged(they happened to be quarters). One of these quarters were of particular interest to me.Keep in mind that I have an interest in history,Im not an expert;but I do like reading about it and learning new things, especially obscure facts. The reason why this quarter stood out to me was the fact that you could read eat sin clearly and the fact that the caption is above a tree. The tree reminds me of Adam and Eve and the first original sin.sin-eaters was a past ritual in which the deceased would have their sins forgiven by a person known as a sin-eater.They would carry the sins of the deceased.I would like to know if I were to get this graded, would they place it in a holder or return it as damaged? All comments appreciated.
They'd return it to you in a little baggy and keep the exorbitant fees they charged you for the luxury.
I remembered years ago, watching a Night Gallery episode about a Sin Eater. An old sin eater died and the new one didn't want to eat the old sin eaters sins. After all, the dead sin eater was riddled with sin. It's been so long, I don't remember how it ends, but your post reminded me of that old program. Thanks for the memories.
Thst is definitely damaged unless you can explain to me how that happened at the Mint and why it's the only one every found so far.
