Looking for Advice I just picked up my first Canadian silver dollar. I like the idea of collecting the major types in the Canadian silver dollar series. What dates should I be looking for? Also, where is the best place to by Canadian silver? I know Ebay probably has a lot, but I like going into coin shops more. Does anyone know of coin shops in Missouri that sell World Coins? Any history of these coins and information is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Welcome to CT. I suggest purchasing a book covering Canadian Coins. It will contain the information you seek.

A Guide Book of Canadian Coins and Tokens James A. Haxby Edit: @Chris Rice if you're looking for Canadian silver, be sure to ask the dealer for their foreign silver pan. From my personal experience, most dealers usually sell it at a discount compared to American junk silver.
There are a number of them. I can't recommend any particular one because I'm not into Canadian Coins.
A Charlton Standard Catalogue Canadian Coins is the 1 I use for information on the Canadian coins. Please note the values in this catalog are in Canadian dollars. I have bought most of my toned Canadian coins off Ebay. Some at Las Vegas coin shows. I mostly collect toned 50 cents and Caribou quarters. Here is a toned dollar that I bought in a 1958 oin set. The toning is amazing... sorry the sellers pics are out of focus... and another toned 1967 dollar...
I have a friend/dealer in Tulsa that deals primarily in Canadian coinage... Dale Shafer. If you are in for a few hour drive, look him up and he has ads in the Canadian Coin News. There's a guy on a different coin site that has a great deal of silver (including 300+ 1965 UNC dollars) as well as other denominations, but he's in the heartlands of Canada.

The Silver Dollar was the first non-gold Canadian Coin to shift from the wreath or plain maple leaves (nickel and small cents ). A fun fact is the voyager design was going to be converted to the small dollar but the dies were stolen between Ottawa and Winnipeg and so we got the loonie . I don’t know how it would have turn out with the down size
I grew up in Tulsa and visit 2-3 times a year. Does Dale have a bricks & mortar store or is he online only? Did a google search but nothing came up.
