Besides the obvious can anyone tell me about this coin? When/where/who produced the commemorative?

I can't find that exact one but there were many privately made medals during the Bicentennial celebration between 2003 and 2006.

    Maybe this provides a clue:
"Caroline County celebration, events throughout 2003. The county is the birthplace of William Clark and his slave, York. The county's Department of Economic Development hopes to build a statue of the explorers through sales of memorabilia and donations. Poster sales and donations can be made though the county-sponsored Web site, FoundersofAmerica.org. The kick-off event was the dedication this month of an 1897 Clark-York painting at the courthouse. Among planned events are a roving painting display, an art contest for schoolchildren, the minting of a commemorative coin, a ceremonial tree-planting and a lecture by Lewis and Clark expert Jim Holmberg. Gary Wilson, 804/633-4074."

Thanks. This is going to be a tough one to gather information on.
