1803 Draped Bust, Grade???

    I would guess that if this coin is real...it's one of the 4 known 1803 proof restrikes (4 known according to red book). I have never seen a coin of this age with a cameo appearance...and I don't have the knowledge of this series to say if it's real or not. Because of the cameo appearance...I'd be inclined to say it's a fake.

    But, assuming it's real...I'd PF65 Cam.

    I said it very well could be one of the restrike proofs. I may have had my grade a little off...but I said it could be. No reason to be rude with your "...your all wrong...interesting" comment.

    So it was one of the restrikes? Where did you get the pic?

    I think it would have to be. My understanding is they didn't make any proofs originally. The proofs were struck between 1834 and 1858.
