Yup, went to the bank today, asked for Halves. They had $80 worth, 4 of them were in old rolls. And those 4 rolls contained AU/MS 40% Kennedys. 3 of the rolls were solid date rolls and one roll was mixed. They had to be from someones collection. One roll was 1967 with all AU/BU coins, The roll of 1968D and the roll of 1969D were almost all BU. The mixed roll was still the same dates, but that had only 2 dirty tarnished coins. The rest were all AU/BU. But that is my best bank find ever. $80 in Halves, and 50% of those were 40% silver. I wanted to tell everyone earlier, but was waiting to snap some pics. But I never got around to the Pics, and doubt that I will tonight.
Ebay Completed listings. $35 a roll for 40% Silver. That makes 4 rolls, $140. Perhaps your doing the math on 40 coins instead of 80???
Might as well say it: Some poor little old lady got ripped off! Don't you feel guilty? Okay, now for the real world: Nice finds!
Reading your post inspired me to ask for a roll of half-dollars when I went to the bank yesterday. Half were bicentennials, but there was an XF 1964 in there as well. The other four looked like they had been dipped in Coke and left to dry. It was an interesting exercise and reminded me of how much I like the Kennedy half design.
i believe this will happened. i purchased some rolls from a bank. it turn out some rolls of statehood quarters wrapped with ordinary paper were all uncirculated. and i think if we purchase presidential dollar rolls in the future. it should have a lot of uncirculated rolls expose.
