I have a bunch of star notes even three consecutive ones, but only two came up in the red "rare section" on star note look up. One is a brand new $100 the other a beat up $20. What kind of premium if any do they hold? I only have the $20 on hand for a picture. Knowledge is greatly appreciated.
The premium in the $100 is probably too low to try to sell, at least on eBay. remember eBay and Paypal take a collective 13% - unless you can sell your not for AT LEAST $113 then it’s not worth it on your $20 - I haven’t sold a Star, but I did sell a Birthday Note for $25.99. After fees and postage I made $1.64 profit, which was really not enough to make it worthwhile
Circulated modern star notes have little if any value above face, with a very few exceptions. Your 2009 Atlanta $20 star is from a short run (320K) but is circulated and stained. You may find a buyer for the $5 Birthday note, but probably not much.
Nice looking but very modern and not worth a premium. Same goes for the $100 note that is not posted.
