1916 DDO Buffalo What do you grade it at????

    Sweet coin! that doubled date is really strong!! I'm no buffologist but I will hazard vf 30 and a nicely struck coin.

    I think that we were both right about the grade! Maybe Larry was being generous due to the rarity of the coin! I haven't talked to him in quite awhile and hope that he is doing much better now after his back surgery.

    VF 35, but to be honest, this series is really difficult for me to grade with the commonly-weak strike.

    Yepper, it is the same for me! I find that the Buffalo Nickel rates right up there with the Standing Liberty Quarter and the Walking Liberty Half in difficulty to grade.

    Thanks for the update! Is he still having problems with Ear infections (i.e. cottonballs in one or both ears)?

    You could see the coin has a full horn that's the main area to look on these coins That's why it garded a XF40 and there is no mint luster left I would say and accurate grade.
