1897 Alfonso coins - to clean or not to clean

    These are 2 1897 Un Peso Alfonso Coins. Opinion grade please? If you were me, would you clean these coins? The first one has lots of luster, second one has some luster and toning, shiny surface.

    The first one is fine as it is, leave it be. The second one has been cleaned at some point in the past already. Think of cleaning coins like this as going up and touching a dangerous dog, it may well bite you.

    I would not clean those if I were you. They're fine just the way they are :thumb:

    Grade? XF I guess, but I´m not good at grading :eek:

    Awesome help from you guys. :hail: Hmmmn, these coins will not be cleaned then.

    The more we present some actual coins and have people give their insights on TO CLEAN OR NOT TO CLEAN will give us, especially the newbies to collecting, a better view about cleaning. Right? :smile:smile Because cleaning has always been a serious topic.
