Large Cents from "junk" bins!

My second coin pic with my old Sony digital (the big bulky one that uses a 3 1/2" diskette). No resolution, no adjustments... just 30 to 40 pictures per disk; anyway, I picked up these large cents at the local shop last week (from their "junk bin"). Paid ten bucks total (overpaid?), but I got alot of history for my money. I love picking through low-grade stuff and buying what I like... and I love these old coppers! Dates: 1818, 1832, 1837, 1845 and one wiped out.

for ten bucks I'd say you did quite well!

Considering junk large cents at the coin shop I go to are typically 3-5$ each.

Well, I did spend quite a few $ on other stuff (some really nice walkers)... he sort of threw these in for the ten bucks! But I still felt pretty good about it.

Is it OK to give out names of coin shops or dealers on these boards (or by PM or email)? I haven't been around long enough to know all the rules!

Yes - you can give out names of dealers. I am always happy to tell people about Arizona Jack. :)
