1944 D Lincoln

    Found this on my short metal detecting trip tonight. It was setting just on top of the dirt under some dried grass. Is this a lamination error? Or just environmental damage?     Looks like a lam across the date.

    It does appear to be lamination, but with the amount of environmental damage, it's really hard to say for sure. Good find either way, though.
