Hello everyone, still playing with new amscope. Here is a 1964 "D" FDR Dime which came out of a BU roll. Has anyone seen this, is it a die break or a cud? As before getting the shiny contrast is a challenge, but I think I'm getting better.
Interesting. Niether Cud nor Die Break. Could be a weird occluded gas bubble. By the way.. A Cud involves the rim and goes into the field. This is a Cud
Paddyman, thanks for demonstrating proper visual of a cud. I was under the impression they could reside anywhere on a coin.
As Paddy said, cuds must be attached to the rim. Yours doesn't look like a die crack do I agree that it's a gas bubble.
