I thought the quality looked pretty good for the price I paid, but I'm not sure how much the hole affects its value. Looking back on it, I probably overpaid a bit lol.
Typically, a hole takes 75% of the value away from a coin than what it would have otherwise been worth without the hole. However, your coin has suffered additional damage from when the hole was made. As such, I would deduct 80-85%. Basically, to me, I would be willing to pay silver value only. What has happened to the coin is a shame as it would otherwise be a nice coin without the hole and additional damage.
In my experience, it is usually consistent with a 90% deduction with exception to tough types/varieties This is a $40 coin without the hole. I would not pay more than $5.
For that very reason (value) I do not even consider purchasing a holed coin. I learned the hard way many years ago from my own father, thanks dad. Good luck!
It is a cull. Not even nice enough to be called junk. These usually go for around melt if even that much. Curious about value? - start it on the bay at melt w free shipping the market will decide....
Don’t buy anymore of those. Most members wouldn’t touch holed coins. Live and learn. Melt value. It’s a common to boot.
