Just won this beauty. Austria: Franz Joseph I silver "Shooting Festival" Medal 1880 MS66 PCGS It's also known as a 2 Florin. Depending on the slab it'll sometimes be called a medal, and sometime 2 Florin. This is inconsistent even within the same grading company (PCGS/NGC).
Not nearly as nice as the coin above posted by @mkivtt but something I have admired for a while. Picked this up for just above spot.
I haven't posted up my newps in a while. Here are a few highlights. Hungary 1855B AR 20 Kreuzer KM-2211 (1852-1856) NGC MS65 A pleasing gem example of an Austrian type struck in Hungary during the Austrian occupation of Hungary (1849-1867). Hungary 1859B Copper Kreuzer KM-2186 (1858-1863) NGC MS63 RB Another pleasing Austrian occupation issue, for my Hungarian kreuzer/krajczar date set (1848-1892). Hungary 1933BP AR 2 Pengő KM-511 (1929-1939) PCGS MS67 I'll be crossing this to NGC. A common date with a strong strike and pleasing toning. USSR 1924ПЛ AR Ruble NGC MS64 What's this? A Soviet issue? But this isn't Hungarian! I like the design. Some influence from @lordmarcovan I think. Plus my wife is from Belarus.
Nicely done, comrade! Your Russkie rouble is two points higher than mine. Very nice. The 1855 20K already captured my attention over on CollectiveCoin.
I like the one with the rose. I gather that must be a coelacanth fish on the 2-meticais. Edit: yep. It must be a coelacanth.
Yes, that is what numista says. To me, it looks like a gold fish or a carp. That "rose" is a cotton boll.
I purchased these some 15 years ago. Now please understand this type of coin I dont collect. However these two are really nicely done. Both coins are solid frost , deep camo....both are holograms and under the right light unbelievable colors....my camera hasn't captured. I do believe that the 3 mast scooner ,would go 70. The RCM does make a quality product in some of the purest ore on the planet.
Greenland. I did not realize when buying these that they are a "fantasy issue" and therefore exonumia. Low mintage, think only 10,000.
These 2 monsters just came from Portugal in the past hour. The first one is about 320 grams and 10 cm diameter. Second one is about 305 grams and 8.9 cm diameter. By far the biggest "coins" I have so far.
