Hi, I am the "new guy" to the forum, collected coins years ago, and got out, wish I kept it up. oh well. My question, or problem is that my youngest (12) son is interested in canadian pennies. I am in Michigan and am having hard time finding anything in my area with any canadian money. Was hoping that someone on this forum might be able to help with any websights. thanks JD
go to your local dealer and ask the guy or girl there, they should have some, they r also quite common in change for some reason
I would go and get a box of Cents at your bank ($25 face value) and let him look through them and pull out the Canadian cents and the Wheat cents. Then cash back in what you don't want...other than that...you might find a few other collectors who would be willing to trade. Speedy
Can't help you much with on-line canadian dealers, I buy my Canadian coins at local shows or from the Royal Canadian Mint. www.mint.ca
I am in Indiana and I have a roll and a half, at least, that I would love to send on to somebody! Got them in a bulk auction purchase at a private estate sale last year and I have absolutely no need for them and don't have a clue what the date spread would be on them. If your son wants them just email, with an address, and I will send them out! Can't get a better deal than that!
This is my favorite kind of thread. I'm glad to see this type of response. I also have a few (1/2 roll) of cents & a few other Canadian coins I can donate to a young numismatist. Just P/M me your addy. Dave The only way to keep it is to give it away!!
wow, I have been in other forums for other things, and a thread like mine would have went unanswered. this is really nice. As soon as I get home from work Sat. evening and figure out how to PM a response, I surely will. thanks again for the welcome. JD
Three weeks ago I brought home a single roll of 50 pennies from the bank. Five of them were Canadian. Are you in Detroit or the U.P. where you can zip over into Canada and get many rolls from a bank ?
JD If you click on the name of the person you want to PM a neat little page rolls down and you click on "Send a Private Message to (name of person)" It will take you to a page where you can PM. Hope this helps. Speedy
got it Speedy, and thanks. PM'd a couple, definately a nice crowd. will definately be sticking around and putting my 2 cents in. JD
jd3681, Will ship roll and a half the first of the week as the package is ready to go! Hope these help as I haven't clue what is there! Welcome to the forum and a great bunch of people!
