which to choose from NGC? i think NGC is more expensive than PCGS in terms of non-bulk submissions.

just for clarifications all PCGS holders are scratch resistant, there’s no upcharge for them like at NGC. PCGS express is also 5 days

 

My coin arrived today. Sitting on the front porch just waiting for a holiday porch pirate to come along... Thank you USUP delivery contractor for leaving my package, that would have easily fit into the locked mailbox, on the front porch for all to see.

Opened it up right away. Looks just like the W, but for some reason, I like this one a lot more.

I picked PCGS because I live in the Inland Empire and they are located in Newport Beach. NGC is in Florida.

 

I got a text today (8/5/20) from the Mint saying item 19XE was back in stock. That's the reverse proof 2019-S ASE. When I looked a couple hours later, it was marked "currently unavailable". I wonder if I had a chance to snag one for $65.95 but was too slow? Or was it just a glitch in their notification system? Hmmmm

 

I did too. I saw it much too late. A couple of folks on the CU site said they were able to get one.

 

Wouldn’t be the first time a glitch allowed orders for something they shouldn’t have been able too. No one actually has one until it’s in hand, but will be interesting to see what happens

 

They were probably the few returns that went back up for sale.

 

I saw a link on reddit to a post on another forum that had a message from the mint saying that they were returns or orders that were never paid. They may have a few more over the next few days as well.

I wonder how many of them are returns from people who were trying to flip them or get an MS70 or or one of the signed certificates. Eh, I'm glad I got the one I did for my son's birth year set and only had to pay the $65.95.

 

I got it while at work and saw it was from the mint, so no big deal, right? Had I noticed the "19" quicker I might have checked it out. Oh well....

 

They also tend to hold back some to use as replacements for damaged/lost ones. Some of those may have been released from the backup hold.

 

I got the text too, went directly to the website and "nothing" ....
oh well, haven't bought anything (except stocks & ammo) lately anyways.
