Are you a registered user at acsearch? I have always been able to enlarge the pictures, you click on the image and it opens in another window, but you have to be a registered user

When acsearch went Premium, for a good long while I resisted paying for what had previously been given free. I made do with CNG's sale database and sixbids archive, but eventually signed up for the acsearch premium subscription earlier this year, thanks partially to @Severus Alexander every so often shaming me for being a cheapskate. :shy: The "pain" of paying quickly went away, and I'm thankful at least every other day that I made the switch since that's how often I use the site. Even if you don't take into account the more comprehensive database of auction records and prices realized, the time saved is worth it, IMHO.

I have a very limited focus area-Athens New Style coins.
Prices are not really of interest just the information of the coin types and discoveries. How far back does the cheaper ac search go? If it had photos and info from 1950's it would be useful and worth $ 100.

For that you need a real library. Come over to Athens and visit the BCD library. No need to wear a protective mask, you will be all alone with thousands of old auction catalogs!

Now that sounds like a lot of fun! The only problem is I might never exit the library. LOL.

Searchable electronic auction catalogues are the way forward and less time consuming-and more shareable, not that anybody seems to like the NewStyle like me!
