Has anyone dealt with Noble Numismatics before?

I found this very nice looking shekel on their auction 120, but the starting price seems very low. 800 AUD is about $560.

PHOENICIA, Tyre, (c. 2nd century B.C. - 1st century A.D.), silver shekel or tetradrachm, (14.38 g), Tyre mint, issued year 20 = 107/6 B.C., obv. laureate head of Melqarth beardless to right, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, carrying a palm, standing on prow of ship, club to left, above LK, monogram HAP in right field, around **TUROU IER[AS KAI ASU]LOU*, (S.5918, Cohen [p.502], BMC 91 p.238, [this date], H.1618 [817]). Dark attractive patination, extremely fine and and rare as such.

Ex Dr. V.J.A. Flynn Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 107 (lot 3352).

Looking up their reference to Sale 107, lot #3352, I found this coin.

Lot 3352 Session 11 (9.30am Thursday 20th November) Greek Silver & Bronze Coins

    Estimate $1,800
    SOLD $1,400

PHOENICIA, Tyre, (c. 2nd century B.C. - 1st century A.D.), silver shekel or tetradrachm, (14.14 g), Tyre mint, issued year 32 = 95/4 B.C., obv. laureate head of Melqarth beardless to right, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, carrying a palm, standing on prow of ship, club to left, above B**L*, monogram HAP in right field, around **TUROU IER[AS] KAI ASULOU*, (S.5918, Cohen [p.509, reports date as R3, extremely rare ie. one example in 10 years], BMC 220 [this date], H.1618 [817]). Extremely fine and a extremely rare date.

I think that even a casual observer can see that these are not the same coins. I have emailed Noble asking them to explain this discrepancy because I am interested in the coin presented. But has anyone dealt with this company?

    TIF Always learning.

Don't worry. It will close sufficiently high :D.

I've only bid in one Noble auction. The starting prices were tantalizingly low but in the end I paid a pretty high price for the coin... that tends to happen when you decide ahead of time you want it :D.

Yes, I got some super quality Australian gold Sovereigns from their auction. These where raw graded as virtually mint state, look MS-66

Yes, excellent service and quality. They were auctioning coins that targeted my collecting niches.

When I first set up my account just PRIOR to an auction, the called me TWICE from Aussie-land to ‘Murica to ensure my account was working and activated. Super service for me. At the time, the Manager was Jill Pearson who was very helpful.

They seem to attract high-bidding clientele. (My experience.)

Noble are a great company. I have bought some coins from them in the past. They are the only coin shop in the Sydney area that stocks ancient coins as far as I am aware.
