I mainly collect worldwide gold/ 670BC to present. I sold my US/ Canada obsolete collection in Heritage event/ however I did keep this, my fav. note. Jackson, along with Robert E. Lee/ Nathan Bedford Forrest where top Generals in Civil War. lf - 2020-08-01T224458.121.jpg

Very nice note. Hide it before the people wanting to get rid of anything related to the Confederate side of the Civil War, sees your note and wants to destroy it. lol ;)

I saw an episode of "American Pickers" that featured this note. However, they where super excited about a well circulated example.....these are not hard to obtain. I have a friend who is a Mopar collector, he has a fully restored 69 Charger (replicar of Dukes of Hazzard/ General Lee) He drives it to all the car events/ gets lots of people jealous of his car:D I personally love muscles cars from 50s/60s but the 67 427/400HP/ sidepipes is "king".

This note can be collected by color variation. By this time the Confederacy was running out of everything, including ink. To stretch things out they added water to their red ink, which could make the finished note pink. The note you have appears to be one of those pink notes.

Here is one that is rated as "red." As you can see, it's not blazing red. This one is certified, but I don't recall the grade. I'm sure that it is not graded as highly as your piece.
