Could this be a extra ear?

    2015 D Lincoln cent. Noticed a small lump under Lincoln's ear. What do you think? Knowledge is greatly appreciated.

    Sorry, but it just looks like a plating blister or possible the start of zinc corrosion under the copper plating.

    The extra ear errors are actually doubled dies. These occur during the die making process and will show an outline of the doubled area, not a random mark. Here are some websites with info on doubled dies if you want to learn more.

    Nope. Damage if anything at all. Please post Full Image photos and crop out annoying backgrounds.
