    That's amazing how much it has changed. Kinda sad, even though it is AT it was beautiful, It's still cool though, I wouldn't give it away. :cool:

    Its a counter strike. I'm familiar with that symbol, but don't know the sourse. Maybe the Maisons?

    Almost positive it is a Masons. But note the condition and the year of the coin. Strange that it would be in that shape if countermarked in 1953, and why 1953? perhaps a birthyear or some othe significance. strang to find in circulation. Pocket change is still an amazing source. Picked this up yesterday in change from a gas station. Is the econmy geting so bad that some are breaking out rolls or busting up collections? I still need practice with the camera, but this still has the mint shine in 2008.

    AH - very good. Worth keeping. I've been posting a bunch of these....on just this theme...stuff ulled directly from circulation.

    In 1953 the Maisons discovered the Body of Mohamed and laid it to rest along with Vincent Van Gough.

    More likely it was just the year that the Mason who owned that coin joined his lodge.
