So here's the story.. Yesterday evening I went down to my local Bodega to buy some milk and snacks. As I was checking for the items I saw in one of the aisles a $100.00 bill folded in half on the floor. I quickly scooped it up and put it in my pocket.. I paid for my goodies and left to go back to my apartment. I get to my kitchen, put the items away and as I was ready to announce to my wife that I found big money I checked my find.. In a huge disappointment I realized that my find was totally fake! A $100.00 FOR MOTION PICTURE PURPOSES prop money I told her anyway.. Had a good laugh and had Milk and donuts to enjoy the rest of the evening!
THEY GOT YOU TOO!!! I found mine on the ground while waiting at a red light. I jumped out of the car before my wife knew what happened. I was pretty proud of myself when I handed it to her. And then she started reading it...
Watch for the hidden camera video on facebook https://propmoney.com/ Interesting. I have some used in a old movie someplace. Jim
IDK man. I would think Secret Service might have a problem with this. Isn't it awfully close to actual currency, same color, designs, "security features" etc? I could see a number of Walmart cashiers taking it for payment.....
People do attempt to pass it off as real, and with a quick glance a cashier could take it. The thing is that at most places, big bills are examined and validated with special pens. A quick examination would show that it is "movie money". It is actually legal to have it, it is illegal however to try and pass it off as legal tender. There is plenty of things on the bills to show that it is not authentic.
Any members own a 'Bogg's Bill'? I see where the graded ones are offered at hundreds of $$$. J.T. Addendum: 25 years ago, when I was really broke, I found a real C-note in the parking lot of a 7-11 & there were no other cars in proximity!
I have considered buying a pack of the "movie money" and casually "dropping" some in busy places just to watch what happened.
I still think that this is pretty cool! I have never seen one before in person, I might keep it and spin a tall tale about it lol
I would be luck to have someone injured in the free-for-all that would ensue and get sued for causing the injury.
Not motion picture money. Chinese-made bank training money. Marked as copy and Chinese characters make it almost impossible to pass. Also paper itself is flimsy. Not meant to fool anyone, BUT if it is lying on the ground people will dive for it! Can be purchased in different denominations on eBay if you want a good laugh.
Not a unique one, but I have this one made by Boggs in a relatively small edition for the 1995 FUN show. If this were printed in green and were two-sided, it would be pretty easy to pass off as real.
That's funny! Glad you had a good good laugh but this is the first series 2020 K bill that I've ever seen. Lol
