Hey guys and gals, I'm home from school for Thanksgiving and I brought all of my purchases to store/protect them. I've also been looking at some of my stuff I've kept at home, since I need to fill up my 1909-1940 Lincoln Whitman, and I made a cool little discovery (which probably is a joke to most of you): a 1943-D Steel cent! I know that was probably a bit of a let-down for you all, but it's a sign of my progression in numismatics--I didn't even know there were steel cents before I went to school this summer!! So with this nice little break comes the opportunity to take some pictures of some of the coins I've kept at home and get your opinions on them. This includes a 1959 Jefferson, a 1922 Peace, and maybe some advice on what to do with my Lincoln and Mercury Whitman folders...I don't know whether or not I should be filling them up with only really nice ones I occasionally buy on ebay (which would take forever), or if I should just fill them up with the nicest ones I have. Anyway, here are the pics of the Jefferson and Peace! The Jefferson just seems to have really really nice fields...the little dot on the O in GOD is on the little holder, as are the marks at the bottom of his jacket on the obverse. I'd appreciate any comments! Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving! -Peter
I think you have an exceptional peace dollar. There is one serious ding that concerns me on the reverse upper wing on the second row of feathers, but it has GREAT detail Ruben
Thanks!! I got it for a ridiculously low price from a friend, very lucky. $12!!!! oh, and my friend is a coin collector also, I'm not just scamming my friends :thumb:
