I've got many scattered notes from my various research that I have to organize, but I hope to definitely do an article on a couple of them one day.
You'll be the first one to read them:hail:

What do you mean the first? :goof: They never let him go so there can't be a second abduction until the first one is over. ;)

That's because you wouldn't part with any of your gold and they needed it to fuel their ship for the trip home, with the extra weight of Doug. :goof: So you are to blame for them leaving him behind! :mouth:

    Ardatirion, still need another distraction?
This coin distracted the money out of my wallet.

Constantius II, AE Centenionalis, 350-355, Antioch.

Helmeted soldier standing left, shield on left arm, spearing fallen horseman, shield on ground at right, horseman is diademed and bearded and falls forward over neck of horse.

Great stuff, guys! I really appreciate it. These tiny diversions are just the right size to help me keep my sanity.

Silvereagle, that is a beautiful Gold Noble that you showed us. Is that Edward III or IVth?

Ardatirion, here is some more distraction for you. A Domitian dupondius celebrating the Ludi Saeculares, and a dupondius of Titus (i think my best preserved roman coin).

    Regards,
    Eduard

Those Domitian and Titus are great looking coins.

Something very different now : a king of France Charles X, 2 francs, 1826 L (Bayonne mint), my rarest modern coin so far (25 000+ minted, but only 4 examples recorded to date)

I doubt it would've mattered what language they spoke in. :goof:

I think even Doug will agree with me on this one! :mouth: And you know it's rare that we agree on anything  but it seems that out of the 1% that we agree on, 90% of the time it's about you!
