    Everyone is *****ing about the eBay sellers, here is a refreshing change. Another attempt to get my nemesis (unc 24-S) resulted in a cleaned coin, so I wrote him asking where do we go from here. BTW, I knew and it was stated in the listing that the coin had been lacquered. This is the answer I got;
    Anyhow, I though I would give him :thumb::hail:

    I like it, and thats how you do it. Customer service.

    BUT.

    How does one take several primo pics and post a plethora of pic options and NOT notice this? Numiscent is known for good pics.

    Not to be sour, sounds like a class A way of doing biz WHEN you get called and raised all in.

    He is. I have bought from him before. He sells some real nice cents - REAL nice. My problem with him is most are way over my budget.

    Snaz - I mean EXPENSIVE. The 2 he has on eBay now are $3200 and $3300 BIN. Most on his site are $1000+. Not saying they are not worth it, but . . . . .

    Oh, I thought perhaps he had a wide selection, kinda like a couple hundred listings.

    I agree, there are a lot of good people on ebay still, I have a whole list of seller in my favs that prove that. What makes ebay good or bad are the people who buy and sell there...

    Hi Guys,

    I received a friendly email from Peter T. Davis informing me of some "gossip" going on here about me, and inviting me to join the forum. I just thought I'd say thanks for spreading such kind words about your experience with me, Dick. If I would have known this was going to be shared, I would have offered you that real nice gem red original 1924-S I have as a replacement! Just kidding, of course! Although I would love to have an original red or red-brown 1924-S, and hope you can find one as well.

    One quick comment to explain myself in response to Arizona Jack's comment, "How does one take several primo pics and post a plethora of pic options and NOT notice this? Numiscent is known for good pics."

    The problem here wasn't that I didn't notice the coin was cleaned, rather that I somehow honestly failed to mention it in the description along with the lacquering that I did mention. You make a good point though...if I am going to stare at a coin close enough to take clear pictures and also claim that I know how to grade, then I better be able to spot cleaned coins when I have them!

    Thanks,
    Tom
