I happened across these two 50 dollar Bill's. I have only recently started collecting US Coins and Paper Money. And would like y'alls opinion on this please , I'm aware there's Cool Serial Numbers and Fancy Serial Numbers . I ran these two numbers on the Fancy Serial Number Checker and got these results. I'm not so much into Paper Currency so I thought I'd see if there was a market for the two I have. DOES anyone have an opinion on whether or not I should advertise these two or is it in your opinion not worth fooling with .I know very little about selling on ebay. I appreciate you for reading this post. Happy Fourth of July to you All. ✨

If you just recently started collecting, then you should keep a few starter bills like those for your collection. But for most people, those serial numbers are not good enough.

Nice on the index but the numbers don't really form anything special. Can you post the notes themselves?

There is truly nothing special about ANY serial number - they all have the same probability of being found as any other serial number (within the limits of the way the notes are printed, for example, you won't find all 9s in a small-sized US note).

It's just that your base-10 brain insists on putting patterns there. If we had six fingers and used base-8, another entirely different set of notes would be special.

Yeah we wish you luck on getting any premiums on either of those bills, but its unlikely, unless its at least 7-8 in a row or run and/or a starmark note, or if you find a mint error. I find 6 in a row quite regularly, not worth keeping imo

Its a bit neat. But yea, condition is bad . Meow would keep it anyway for the Cat Hoard.

Not a bad note, but poor condition. It's a binary note.

The cool thing about collecting banknotes found in circulation is that you can keep them in your collection and ultimately, you won't lose any money (unless the value of the dollar goes down). It's still a $20. Then you can always try to improve your collection little by little. That's the fun thing I find about collecting. Thanks for sharing those with us!

It is better to just create a new thread on the paper money forum, (blue button on the right on each forum) but to answer your question, just the fact that it is 1929 makes it worth more than $100. I couldn't give you a price though. The serial number means that it was the 167th minted, which to the right person, does make it worth more.
