    1890
    1899
    &
    1911

Only 1890 some words of "Liberty" are clear, The others are not.

1899 has another colour,is it toned?

It's very difficult to find a Liberty V Cents in fine condition in Lebanon..

I agree with Mark. The 1890 is VG8...it can't grade any higher because it doesn't have a full Liberty. The 1899 is G4 because it is lacking Liberty but still has full rims. The 1911 is also lacking Liberty but the details and the rims are a bit stronger so I'd call it a G6. Without a few letters in Liberty, it can't be any higher than G.

Agreed. I can't see how this coin would grade fine.

From what I have read in excerpts from the ANA guide...and I may remember incorrectly; to grade fine a Liberty Head Nickel must have a full liberty visible. It doesn't have to be strong, but it needs to be there. Some of the TPGs are lax with this and might call a key date in that grade an F, but I feel that is being too loose with the grades. So, I feel that VG is a good fit. :)

One thing I thought about though and didn't mention in my original post...is the coin has nice details and rims. I could see it grading VG10 (as opposed to VG8), but with the Liberty can't get into the fine grades.

I thank you all for grading them.
I think this is the most right grade:
    1890 VG10 (it doesn't have full liberty-but it has lots of details-The rims-the hair-the motto)
    1899 G4
    1911 G6

Please guys also grade my Roosevelt Dime 1964 that I bought today.
    Best Regards,

Today,I bought a 1905 XF Liberty Nickel for 22000LL which makes 15$ + I gave my Liberty Nickel 1899 G4 the one u see in the photo.
The dealer asked for $20 for the coin,I returned him the 1899 that I had bought from him for $10.(IF it wasn't $15 dollar,I can't remember)
so u can say I had bought for $15+10= $25
I'm happy to have a Liberty nickel with full LIBERTY.Liberty Nickels is one of my favorites coins from US Coins & I think this one is a keeper indeed.
    I think it's a keeper.
I want to know what do u think guys.
please grade it, I say 40-45.

The arabic words written says,"Wileyet El Mouta7ida" which means United States.
Probably this coin was a piece of a coin collector, they never sell coins with emballage*...

PS: The dealer had a yellow tonned G4 Liberty Nickel without a date.
but in the cart it was written 1884,I tried to read the date on the coin,it was impossible, the nickel was in poor condition, but it was tonned yellow/gold.
Is there any other way to know the date of a Liberty Nickel who doesnt have a date??????????????

I think the only way to identify the liberty without date is 1912S & D (The Mintmarks)

Thanks for sharing! That new nickel you have blows the other ones away. Isn't it fun upgrading?

Thanks also for the Arabic lesson. I tried to learn one of the dialects once, without much success.

There is no way to determine the date of a completely dateless Liberty nickel, unless the coin has a D or S on the reverse, in which case it has to be a 1912, because that's the only year that came with a mintmark.

You can use nic-a-date to bring out the date, but if there was no date visible, that obviously didn't happen.

My best guess is that there was a small part of the last two digits still present, and the dealer was able to figure it out from that. If that's not the case, then he just made it up!!!

    what's that?

I'm very happy to find & own an XF Liberty Nickel!!!:kewl: If u see I had posted before that it's very hard to find a fine V Cents.
This is the Queen of my nickels lol.

I should look very carefully, but does the tonning gives any more value?or less?
The condition of that one is G4 or maybe less?

    Nice coin Hagop!

Get that tape off of it tho, a soak in Acetone will remove the tape residue without altering the surfaces of the coin.

I figure that those can't be too common in Lebanon, eh?

I will soak it in Acetone tomorrow,my father sells Acetone at his tool shop:high5:

but what happens if I leave it like this?does the tape damages the coin?

no not common at all,I have found one at a coin shop, 3 at a friend who collect coins,I bought two from him & this was my 5th Liberty Nickel that I have seen.lol
