I bought this coin a few years back and was wondering what its value was. It has a J mint mark. I would like to learn a little about it, I believe it was used in Russian territories during WW1.

The text Gebiet des Oberbefehlshabers Ost means "Territory of the Supreme Commander East". These coins (and a couple of notes) were issued by the Darlehnskasse Ost in Kaunas (now in Lithuania) and used in what today is Southern Latvia, Lithuania and Northern Poland.

The mintmark "J" means the coin was made in Hamburg ("A" would be Berlin). It's a steel coin which is pretty common in "average or worse" condition; the value is in the lower one digit range, I think.
