this looked nice, its pretty beat up though and some uneducated person decided to write "24" on the bill, completely ruining it!
Not worth much over face Only keep it if you collect stars and don't have a better example. The circulation ware alone eliminated any collectible value.
I agree. I have a $2 star note with similar graffiti on it but I kept it because it's the only 1976 San Francisco $2 star note I have. If I ever find a better one this one will get spent.
there is CERTAINLY value left in BOTH of these stars! the L/* in that grade .....with the graffitti is still worth about $10.00 - $15.00 and the G/* about the same since it is considered semi-key and if uncirculated would bring over $60.00. the 76's series stars have been long undervalued and under-estimated. the G/* is equally as tough as the E/* & even if you find a better example.... DON'T SPEND THEM! throw em' on ebay and give another collector a shot at an affordable example keep the hobby rollin'
