Is lustre present on all UNC & AUNC silver coins (1900-1945 era)

    Toning is deterioration, just attractive in the early stages.

  3. I think its attractive on very old coins that have been circulated, but I prefer any UNC / AUNC condition coins blast white myself

    First off, that's what I call chocolate and vanilla :)

    Secondly, your comment just made me realize there's one other thing I should have mentioned in my previous posts in this thread - it has to do with the original question of the thread - Is lustre present on all UNC & AUNC silver coins

    The answer can be no, and not just with silver but copper as well. Some coins, can be toned to the point that they no longer have any luster - but - if they also have no wear they are still Unc/MS.
