Japanese but other than that I am unsure

 

It is either 50 sen from 1941 or 45 I am unsure of the distinction between the 2 but the picture on the front is
Yasukuni Shrine
and on the back
Mount Asahi in Hokkaido

50 sen from Japan, printed in 1942 or so I think. I have one of these as well; my grandfather got it from Japan when he was stationed there shortly after the end of WWII.
