Where can I find a 1989 quarter that is in good condition? I want to goldplate it and make a coin pendant out of it for my daughter.

Most dealers will be happy to sell you one. You might think about getting one with the "S" mintmark. This is a Proof Coin and the S is for San Francisco but you can tell her it's for "Special".

Search on ebay for a 1989 Quarter and you will find something inexpensive. Go for the proof mint strike over standard business (MS) strikes. They will look nicer after you are done.

Or, get her a D coin and tell her it's for "Daughter". :)

I agree that you might as wel get one in Mint State....but if you just look through rolls of quarters from you bank you will find one there too!!
If your going to get one gold plated I wouldn't get a proof.

You may have more trouble getting one of these in a coin shop than you think. Many coin shops don't bother to stock such coins. If they do have it then it will probably be in a 1989 mint set which will cost about $5. The proof set would be closer to $10 and they're likelier to have it.
