Welcome to CoinTalk, Bob. Can you post a photo of the coin? Based on your description it sounds like post-Mint damage rather than an error. If I could actually see what you are describing I might change my mind.
click the link on the post it's the only way i know how to put a picture on here and thank you for the welcome. Nice to meet you. Bob,
I don't want to break the seal, and as for the pic's I ordered a 200X dig cam for the computer and hope it's here by monday. Like I said before just the top of the letters are cut like no damage looks like a metal cutting wheel gouged it strange
nah, it looks like it may be an NGC holder. What is it graded? Or, if it says: SGS on the holder-- burn it.
By the photos it looks like a broard strike / We need better pics for sure/hard to tell. Jazzcoins Joe:whistle:
It really looks to me like post mint damage from a coin counter, as jello said. Periodic arc-like gouges around the rest of the coin would be a telltale sign.
It is a ncg holder and it came out of a mint set package. I hopeto get a better pic also I would have thought if it were an error ncg would have graded it that way. It graded ms66. I will do my best to get a picture that you can all see better I only have a digital Cam and when I try to get closer it blurs out
The TPG's will only attribute errors/varieties and note them on the slab if you first ask them to do so and secondly pay then to do so.
