Excellent information and analysis. Regarding the counterfeit slabs, are thy for the most part being used fro counterfeit trade dollars, where they are plentiful in China?
Very cool info. Doing a quick search on ebay, I found this: The number was verified at pcgs.com Is it a genuine pcgs slab? Note: removed the images in case of copyright... here is a link to the ebay auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/1880-S-Morgan-S...ryZ39465QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem <Ok, After looking at it for some time I am gonna say "YES, It's real." - Let me know if I am wrong>
good info.................................... from what i understand they can be ANY coins! gotta be very careful indeed.
The counterfeit slabs tend to have fake coins that match the label and the serial numbers are from genuine slabs whose information matches the label as well.
