A 1974 $1.00 with a partial Off Set Printing Error in the upper left corner. The back is on the front. Nice that the serial number has five 4's but really not fancy. At least it's the last five digits. It's from Cleveland Ohio.
I like the serial number on that note. Here is one I have with a non-interesting serial number. I have narrowed my collection to error star notes.
Yours is in the opposite corner. I noticed your serial number. It has no 2 and no 8 but it also has one each of the other eight digits. That to me is cool and a nice star note as well.
Nice. Purchased or found in circulation? What would be the topper is to find the matching note that had the folded over corner.
Purchased from a long time dealer that's been very good to me and knows his stuff. That would be cool to have the matching note. Maybe one day I'll find one. It took awhile but so did find both halves of a split planchet war Nickel.
Error star notes are probably one of the rarest notes to find in the wild. They are out there, but exceedingly rare finds.
That's for sure. It's even difficult to find fancy serial numbers, which are more common than error star notes.
