Some of you regular posters are very good with ancient coins. I'll see if we can stump you. I'll start out with an easy one and then we'll step it up.
I say caracalla , or Geta too. But just to keep it interesting i'd say it could also be Commodus. I have seen some bearded protraits of him too if i remember correctly.
They WERE brothers and their young adult portraits do look a bit similar. There is no chance is Commodus.
Guido...I know it's caracalla, but there was an emperor Guido and I'd love to know if there were any coins of his that exist (he reigned in around 888 AD)
Guido was a Holy Roman Emperor appointed in 892, I think, as co emperor with his son Lambert. I have seen coins of his son Lambert of Spoleto but none of Guido, not to say they do not exist. Lambert of Spoleto
Yes Caracalla. I thought that after he was picked someone would throw a Geta at it. A bearded Geta is on my list of coins to grab.
Keep guessing. Mrbrklyn, I'm pretty sure Nero would've wrapped a pork chop around your neck and thrown you to the lions for calling him a lady.
