GTG’s - 1826 Bust Halves x 2

    Yes and that is why I found it tough to gauge. I suppose it comes down to how luster is weighted? You can see in hand that the luster is alive under the skin and I think with a dip it would be a blazer, so do graders take that into account? If they don’t/didn’t, and downgrade for having super original skin because it subdues the luster isn’t that basically asking for more coins to be dipped to achieve a higher TPG grade?

    Grading these from images will always bring several different opinions. I don't see it as being too dark. You will find much darker ones that graded even higher.
    My guess was 58 but I can agree with 55. Both coins are really nice to me.

    Before seeing the slab grades, I was leaning towards 55 & 60.

    I love the die crack on the first one. Spectacular pieces!
