Hey everyone! so I made a purchase from this one person, that included a handful of different coins, as well as some paper money. I know NOTHING about paper money (except US current paper money). so I am wondering if there is anything that is interesting in the paper money that I have attached in my imgur album below. Any information is appreciated, as I don’t have any info on any of them as of right now (I’ll be doing my research when I have time in a few days). If you see something that is worth noting, please let me know! If you know something is worthless, I would appreciate to know that as well! I am curious if I ended up getting a handful of garbage, or if there is something in there worth a few bucks or so. thanks in advance! Joe photos: https://imgur.com/a/bTwESJe?s=sms
Thank you very much. I was not aware of that (I am new). So I appreciate you doing that for me, and educating me on that. Sorry for anyone that that caused inconvenience to. Thanks again!
No problem. It takes time to learn. I'm not into foreign money but wait for others to answer. There are a few that catch my eye. It's do different from our money. Welcome to CT.
thank you! I am excited to see if any of them are actually worth a US dollar or so. Just hoping to break even haha
Welcome to CT @Itsjoe49 and thank you @SteveInTampa for doing that. I am one of those that hates to have to go to extra lengths just to see a photo. Those of us on satellite internet, use up too much download allowance for every window or site we have to click on. I constantly run out of download allowance and am slowed down. Damn FRAP.
After he mentioned that, it made 100% sense. I just didn’t even think about it beforehand! Glad I learned that so quickly so I can avoid that minor mistake again in the future
Welcome to CT! Looks like you have some interesting finds which include some military payment certificates, German Notgeld (local money, such as if your town decided to print its own money for local shops), and other decent specimens for World currency. One of the best things about these are the vignettes that they would have when printed. I think you got a good bunch of notes for a starter collection!
Thank you very much! Just got this bunch for $4, so I figured it was worth the interesting pieces to look into. I’m not sure if I will make my money back if I ever decide to sell them again, but it’s not a big loss either.
