Good evening everyone...1981 D Jefferson Nickel RPM, ddr 002 I strong double Letters S, M & 0 what you think guys?...
If you don't mind telling, where did you find the listing for DDR-002? I couldn't find it on doubleddie.com and this is what's listed on Varietyvista:
Honey bunch all coins are not doubled dies just because of their date. Doubled die coins only come from a working die that has the doubling pressed into it . I can't tell for sure from your photos but I have to say you sure can do good photos. I wish I had you here to do my error coin photos for Ebay when I get started back. We could really make some cash. lol
I make $35 per hour sir everyday. How much per hour you pay me? Lol I’m just kidding... I love my job I can’t left my patients I love them so much...
You sure are a good looking young lady and you better watch out because some knight in shining armour may swoop you off your feet. I hope only the best for you . I love how the younger people of the Philippines care so much for their family members.
That’s our nature. I take care of my patient like my own parents and love them with all my heart ... thank you so much sir and have a goodnight...
This is because some of them are the good copper ones and the lighter ones are the junky copper plated zinc cents. 1982 is the transition year when the mint went to the horrible zinc cents. In 82 they made both types.
Hi sir good afternoon yes because I’m struggling to find double die I just weights all of my pennies it’s more easy for me to find 0.11. I got hundreds of 1982 I only find like 13pcs. I noticed all of 1981 1980 down there all the same weights 0.11. But after 1982 it’s hard to find 0.11 grams. It’s only 0.9 or 0.8
As Rascal said before, cents made before 1982 are made of 95% copper, and should weigh 3.11 grams. Cents made after 1982 are made of 2.5% copper, 97.5% zinc and should weigh about 2.5 grams. During 1982 cents of both type were made. The composition or date of a coin doesn't correlate with having been struck with a doubled die. If you've found a cent made after 1982 that weighs 3.11 grams, it might be struck on a pre-1983 bronze planchet, which is quite rare. EDIT: Cent weights corrected by Raizac.
that MUST BE SMALL DATE -D 1982 to get the bronze planchet and weight 3.11 grams. all dates past 1982 are 2.5 grams
I just noticed that you are measuring in ounces, not grams. If you press the 'mode' button on your scale, it should change the unit measurement. You might have to press it several times to change it to grams.
thank you so much for teaching me the ounces and grams.that 13pennies there that’s the 3.1grams the rest is 2.5
I can't quite make out the dates and mint marks on the other 12 coins - could you take a clearer picture?
