    Maximus has always been one of the scarcer emperors I have needed and back in May I was looking over Vauctions and this coin wasn't seeing any action, on the closing day it still didn't get any so I put in a bid & won it along with the usual auction juice.

    Very excited to add this emperor, and in Tet. form too.:cool:

    Nice one, @Mat . Mr Tet King. Toning is nice and matches both sides. In the pic it looks more AR than BI. Great.

    I have but an AE...

    Great coin, @Mat! I love me a Selene reverse... It's one that has alluded me so far (at a reasonable pric , anyways).

    Really nice looking coin. Amazing how he resembles his father so closely in his profile, especially his chin. It is speculated the Maximinus suffered from gigantism; I wonder if his son inherited this same condition?

    @octavius
    I never read anything about his son having it, but it's possible his son may have ended up taller than the average person back in those days.

    Another sestertius of Maximus - same as @Cucumbor , with Principi Iuventutis reverse. Looks like he's wearing makeup here.

    followed by his father - obvious similarity in appearance.
