Recently purchased this Boone commem in a Rattler holder. It has full swirling luster and even toning that appears to be medium gray with a golden-pink overtone (peach?) The images don't show the color well, but pick up some color in the recesses. What do you think it graded? boone 1937 obv.jpg boone 1937 rev.jpg

If the luster is as nice as you say (difficult to confirm from the picture), I'd say it graded MS-65.

yes the luster is complete, no breaks or weak areas.

I've looked from multiple angles with a loupe, and I just can't see that. so I think it's a shadow from the slab which has some abrasions. sharp eye!

Nice. Very original and crusty look with good eye appeal. 65.

MS 65 in Rattler, destined for a 66 in a present day PCGS or NGC slab.
Edit: changed ‘modern‘ to ‘present day’.

Commemorative are difficult for me to grade as they mostly tend to grade MS65 unless there is proof of cleaning or damage, so that's my guess.
