IMO, judging by your photos I can only see 4 full steps. :)

  3. With all do respect sir It is 5 steps 4 complete lines is 5 full steps. I’ve been having nickels graded for a while and that 1/4 step you see then the line disappears is step 6 which isn’t required as not often does that ever show up. The top step starts with the very top where the pillars attach or appear to attach. I bet my life on it I’m 1000% for sure. So based on now knowing that the last solid line all the way across is step 5 I don’t see anything that would merit denying it. Look on photograde at other nickels you will see the same amount of lines on them.

    thanks

Compared to quite a few nickels I have seen that have gotten the designation. I think that it has a chance.
Steps can be incredibly hard to photo.
Especially when the master dies are as worn as they are for these years.
Good luck with the grade. The coins look really clean.
Let us know what they say.

I only see two complete lines and one of those is questionable.

Definitely not a FS but we'll have to wait and see what a TPG says. Wonder if we'll ever know.

Right below the second column there is a break in the line. See the circle where it is flat. Unfortunately according to the standards that is enough to disqualify as FS. Now would it grade FS if someone were to submit? Quite possibly. Polish_20200714_110753095.jpg

IMHO I do not think it is 5 steps. I'm not an expert on this and did not think the top line marked with the orange counted as a step. (It's not full anyway) Also from your photo it appears there's a break in the steps. I could be wrong and I'd like to see you get a FS designation. If you send it in please let us know when it comes back. Thank you

Hope we have a winner here. Op sounds convincing. His experience and argument is sound. Who knows. I for sure don’t. Coin sure does look better then my 1 stepers
