I have seen so few of these up for sale that I just had to have it, so bid for what I thought was a good price and won it for half of that! Love the grade on it also.
I've been trying to find some sort of value for these test notes, without any luck. I see them listed on eBay from $80 to $650, depending on how many notes, but no definitive price guide line. Anyone have any suggestions on values?
I'm not a bill collector, but those are certainly very fascinating test bills! The link you shared (and guy in video read) makes it sound like something very fishy happened with these presses... Sounds like a great heist movie waiting to be made
This is a really cool piece! It sure looks like it has exceptional paper quality as noted by the graders. I really like the color of it. Not too far off from the color of the PMG label, which makes it look really nice.
Value on these, as you noted, seems to be all over the place. I've seen them sell for stupid high, stupid low, and everything in between. The story is fun to read, and makes it an interesting item to own. I picked mine up a couple of years ago just because of the uniqueness and the story. Obligatory crappy photo
Decided to take a look at eBay to see if I can snag one of these at a reasonable price. As a few others mentioned, prices seem all over for these. One particular auction caught my eye -- https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970s-Gior...bjects-PCGS-certified-Gem-New-66/361969341623
